This is the week to give some love to the crossing guards who help us and our kids stay safe in South Orange and Maplewood. “Walk Bike Ride South Orange” along with JESPY House, Inc. and the South Orange and Maplewood Police Departments are pleased to announce SOMA Crossing Guard Appreciation Week from February 21 – 24!
They are providing gift cards to all the guards who are out there in good weather and in bad, helping to make our streets safer for youth and adults alike.
These organizations ask that you please join them in recognizing the generous service of our crossing guards in South Orange and Maplewood. Please help these guards out if you can with a token of appreciation such as a card, a sign, a hot drink, a treat, or just say thanks to them for the work they do.
